I learned from the fieldtrip that it helps the wetlands to plant trees. The trees keep the land from eroding away.

I learned that the more trees that we plant, the more compact the soil is. Which means it is harder for erosion to take place, reducing land loss.

I learned how helping to plant trees helps to save our land because the less trees we have makes the soil more loose and it will eventually be gone. Its also rewarding to know that you contributed to help Louisiana's environment.

I Learned that we helped alot by planting trees because the more roots there are in the soil, the more it will stay together, and not fall apart, it was also very fun to help plant trees, and I am glad that I was part of helping Louisiana's "Coastal Roots"

When we went to Bayou Segnette, we planted many cyprus trees. It was so much fun. My favorite part was using the dibble. I learned that by planting these trees we halped to save the wetlands and the bayou. I cant wait to see our trees grow big and strong.
